When the Boss calls you
Every time Mr. Aboud presses one of the buttons on his screen, your phone or tablet will ring. Here's exactly what to do.
The 5-step daily flow
Your phone rings with a special tone you chose. The screen wakes up automatically — even if it was locked.
A red banner appears at the top of your screen saying "Boss is calling". Tap it to open the Prompta app.
Inside the app, you'll see a big amber or red card showing what the Boss needs. Read it carefully.
When you've understood the order, tap the big ✓ Got it! button. The ringtone stops immediately. The Boss's screen turns green and shows your name.
Now go do what was asked. The Boss already knows you received it.
If you missed the ring
Don't worry — Prompta will ring again 8 seconds later, then again at 20 seconds, then again at 45. After that the Boss will see "no response" on his screen.
If the Boss cancels
If you accepted an order and the Boss decides to cancel it, your screen will flash red with a "STOP — Boss cancelled" message. Tap ✓ Understood and don't carry out the order.
2
The buttons on your screen
When Prompta is open, you'll see a few small icons at the top of your screen. Here's what each one does, in plain words.
Top of the screen
🔇 Stop alarm — the red icon. Tap it any time the phone is ringing and you can't find the order. It stops the sound right away. (Only appears inside the Android app.)
↻ Refresh — reloads the latest list of orders and people.
⚙ Settings — opens Settings page (manage your devices, change ringtone, see Help).
🔒 Lock — locks Prompta so the next person who picks up your phone needs the PIN. Use this if you hand the phone to anyone.
Inside Settings
My devices — shows every phone or tablet that's logged in. Tap the ✕ next to any old device you no longer use.
Alert ringtone (Android only) — pick any sound from your phone for the Boss alert. A loud, sharp ringtone works best.
Re-subscribe push — if your phone stops ringing for any reason, tap this once to fix it.
Force update — if you heard there's a new version, tap this to get it right away.
3
Signing in for the first time
You only sign in once per device. After that, Prompta remembers you for 30 days. Every time you open the app or use it, those 30 days reset — so as long as you use it regularly, you'll never need to sign in again.
First-time PIN entry
Open Prompta. You'll see four small boxes for a PIN.
Type your 4-digit PIN.
As soon as the fourth number is in, the door unlocks automatically. No need to tap a button.
You're in. From now on, this device is trusted — open Prompta and you go straight to your dashboard.
If you ever need to sign in again
If 30 days pass without you using Prompta, OR if you tap the 🔒 Lock button, you'll see the PIN screen on the next visit. Just type your PIN again.

Install on iPhone or iPad
Prompta on iPhone is a "web app" — there's no App Store download. Instead, you save it to your home screen and it behaves exactly like a regular app: its own icon, its own ringtone, full screen.
Step-by-step install
On your iPhone, open Safari (the blue compass icon — not Chrome).
Tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari (the square with an up-arrow).
Scroll down in the menu and tap "Add to Home Screen".
Tap "Add" in the top right. Done — the Prompta icon now sits on your home screen.
Tap the new icon. It opens like an app. Sign in with your PIN. iPhone will ask if you want to allow notifications — say Allow.
Important on iPhone
You must use Safari to install. Chrome and other browsers on iPhone cannot install Prompta — Apple only allows Safari. After installing, you can use the home-screen icon every day forever.

Install on Android phone or tablet
For Android, we have a real app file (called an APK) that you download from the management page. The app gives you a louder, sharper ringtone than the web version.
Download & install the APK
On your Android device, open any browser (Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet — any).
Tap the "Health" tab at the top, scroll down to find the ⬇ Download App button. Tap it.
Your phone will warn that "this file might be harmful". This is normal for any app from outside the Play Store. Tap "Download anyway".
When the download finishes, open the file. Android may ask you to allow installation from this source — tap Settings, enable the toggle, then come back and install.
Open Prompta from your home screen. Sign in with your PIN. Allow notifications when asked.
Open Settings inside Prompta and tap "Pick custom ringtone" to choose a sound from your phone. Pick a loud one.
Android is the most reliable
Because the Android app uses a custom ringtone of your choice and survives even when the phone is asleep, this is the best option for important alerts. If you have a choice, use Android.

The Boss's screen — what he sees
It helps to know what's on Mr. Aboud's screen, in case anyone (a guest, family) asks you to explain. Here's the simple version.
When he opens his computer or tablet
He sees a beautiful dark screen with gold accents. Three sections of buttons, top to bottom:
People — photos of staff (you, Nawras, Mohamed, Yasser, etc.). One tap calls that person to him.
Operations — wider buttons for tasks like "Office Boy", "Elevator", "I'm leaving in 10 min".
Command — one big button at the bottom for an "all-purpose" command.
When he taps a button
The button he tapped lifts to the centre of the screen.
A frosted-glass message appears beside it saying "Sending...".
When you tap "Got it" on your phone, the glass turns green and shows your name. He knows you got it.
If you don't respond, the glass turns red after 45 seconds.
The "Undo" button
If the Boss realises he tapped the wrong button, he has 60 seconds to tap a small ↩ Undo button. When he does, your phone shows the red "STOP — Boss cancelled" screen — same as section 1.
Quick actions on his screen
EN / AR — language toggle.
↻ — refresh, reloads all buttons (he taps this if he just added a new person).
⏱ — opens recent activity history.
⚙ Manage — opens the management page where he or you can add people, change photos, edit text.
If you need to add a person or change a photo
There's a separate management page for this. The Boss usually does it, but you can help if asked.
Sign in with the admin PIN — ask the Boss; it's not the same as your PIN.
In the "Buttons" tab, click "+ Add" to add a new person, or click any existing row to edit it.
For a person, just enter the name (English + Arabic) and upload a photo. The system fills in the rest.
To change someone's photo, click their row, click the photo area, choose a new picture from your computer.
Save. The Boss's screen and your screen will both update within a few seconds.
Best photo dimensions
Use square photos (1:1 ratio), at least 400×400 pixels. Centre the face and include the shoulders. The system crops automatically but a clean square saves time.
